New KISS design for a PSV

Tolkamer 15/6/2009 – Shipyard De Hoop has, over the last half year, developed a completely new design for a 67 meter platform supply vessel. The “KISS” design is De Hoop’s answer to the developments in recent years whereby more and more expensive vessels where delevoped for in fact the simple tasks which most supply vessels do. The KISS design goes more back to the basics, but using modern techniques it shall outperform most in this class. The developed hull shape has a 20% lower wave resistance (so it can do the same with less power and fuel costs) and has 30% more tank capacity than its nearest competitors. Currently De Hoop has several requests for such vessels and also the vessels 432, 433, 434 and 435 (on order by Oceanografia) shall be build according this design. Please look at the pfd file for more information.
